H/LAS/Cosmopolitan

US West - Nevada - Las Vegas

**UPDATE**
At this time we can confirm that the fire at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas at Bamboo Pool at the West End tower has been contained and put out.  The fire started at approximately 12:15 p.m. PDT. There were no serious injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Guests were alerted to the situation by our team of safety professionals and our comprehensive emergency responsive program, and proper evacuation procedures were used. At The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas the safety and security of our guests and CoStars is our first priority.

Additionally, Marie spoke to Maverick Helicopters and no flights were cancelled.  A few guests staying at Cosmopolitan asked to adjust the time of their flight/tour due to not having access to their room.  Maverick was able to comply with all requests.

Please be advised that at 12:40 PM PST on 25Jul15 a fire was reported at the pool at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. At the currente time, there have been two minor injuries reported and the fire is now out.  Marie Reese has been in contact with my representative at the hotel and at the current time there is no one in the hotel. The elevators have been turned off.  There are expected to be NO relocations needed; however, the hotel is awaiting confirmation from the fire marshal.

We have received all mapping and this property is currently in testing for HBSi.

Breathless Los Cabos – 4.5* - SJD/LBRE
Applicable for travel 1Dec15 onwards
We have received all mapping and this property is currently in testing for HBSi.

Secrets Playa Bonita – 4.5* - PTY/****
Previously was Presidente InterContinental Playa Bonita
Have not received any contract information or mapping
Property will officially be rebranded 1Dec15


Procurement will advise further with updates as all testing has been completed.  Please let them know if you have any questions.

H/RMY/Excellence Riviera Cancun

Message from Carlos at Excellence Riviera Cancun:
We are expecting the normal levels of noise, presence of workers and overall visual disturbances that we encountered in the last couple of years with the previous renovations, which were identical in terms of what was done within the rooms. Mainly, upgrade and change in decoration such as paint, curtains, some furniture pieces, lamps, doors in bathroom, a new shelf for luggage, an enhanced lounge bed on the terrace to replace current lounge chair, and so on.

It is important to mention that the buildings where the suites will be adapted to turn them into Two-story Rooftop Terrace Suites, will imply a more thorough process as the stairs inside the room need to be put in place. Please bear in mind that our guests’ comfort and satisfaction is our utmost goal; therefore necessary measures  will be taken into account.

Escape & EuroBreak Documents

With over 300 Escapes and EURObreaks packages now booked, there are a lot of requests for issuing of the new Personal Keepsake Documents coming through. To ensure documents are produced and delivered as quickly and correctly as possibly, please follow this process:

1 – On final payment of your Calypso booking you will receive the standard Calypso docs to your email

2 – FORWARD these documents along with your Sabre reloc to only@libertytravel.com

3 – Vouchers / myTime and any other attachments you receive will need to be printed in your office and placed in the documents folder when you receive it. The only@liberty team will be sending you ONLY the keepsake document book and the document wallet.

4 – If departure is within 7 days of receiving the email, an electronic version of the book will be emailed to you. We will make every attempt to get the printed book to you, however this may not always be possible (due to weekends etc). Regardless, a book will still be printed and delivered to you to give to the customer on their return as a Keepsake of their trip.

For the only@liberty team to be able to track your requests and questions, please only use the only@libertytravel.com email address.

US East - Florida - Fort Lauderdale

Please note effective as of today, 21 July 2015 – The Westin Resort and Spa, Fort Lauderdale will no longer be a Preferred MyTime hotel.

We will remain selling this hotel as a non-preferred property.

The hotel has agreed to honor all attached bookings with the MyTime inclusions.

Any NEW bookings made from 21 July 2015 onwards - the My Time Inclusions will no longer apply.

Right now, all products have been taken off-line for us to update Calypso.

H/AUA/Radisson Aruba - Hilton Aruba

We have received the official press release regarding this change:  Radisson Aruba is now Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino effective July 15, 2015.  We are in the process of updating Calypso with the new hotel name and reopening the products as we had shut them down earlier today. 

There is no change to existing contracts and information (outside of payment and reservations reporting information) and all previously made bookings are honored as made.  Hilton welcomes all new bookings as well under our existing contracts.  Caribbean was aware of one issue today with one booking that arrived yesterday and was assured that the issues experienced were a result of the new Hilton systems not being up and running yet.  I have been assured that there should be no further disruptions. 

We have also confirmed that there will be no disruption to the myTime program for existing and new bookings. 


An FBR will go out to all existing reservations today to advise of the name change so that clients are aware.

H/PID/Atlantis Beach Tower

The River Pool and Lazy River at PID/Atlantis Beach Tower is closed due to unforeseen circumstances. The area is being patrolled for guest safety. The most significant work has already taken place. The waterfall area of the River Pool is being repaired at this time.
Work will take place Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm EST and is expected to be completed by 31Aug. They do not anticipate this having a significant effect on the guest. No compensation is being offered.

H/WDQ/Wilderness Lodge

US East - Florida - Orlando - Disney

H/WDQ/Wilderness Lodge is going through multiple refurbishments. Guests will notice construction work in various areas.
The areas affected are the Hidden Springs Leisure Pool. the leisure pool at The Villas Wilderness Lodge, resort beach, playground, recreation fire pit & nature trail. Noise may be overheard while this work is being completed, but construction will not begin until after 9 in the morning.
No compensation is being offered.

H/WDQ/Polynesian Resort

US East - Florida - Orlando - Disney

H/WDQ/Polynesian Resort is going through some general construction. During this time, guests will observe construction taking place and certain pathways and buildings may be unavailable. The East Pool will be closed for enhancement. Guests may see or hear work in progress. No compensation is being offered.

Amtrak Process and Margin

FCGP has been able to negotiate an agreement with Amtrak for rail only throughout the United States and Canada.  The process for this new partner is below; however, the margin on this product is 10%.    Please review the process and advise if you have any concerns.   If you would not like your organization to have access to Amtrak due to the margin, please advise by end of day Thursday, July 9th.

    • Please quote the total amount (inclusive of taxes) to your client from the website. This amount will be visible once you add the tickets to “your cart”.  The net rate will be a 10% deduction of this rate.

    • Please email the request to sales@ylginc.com . Be sure to include the following: clients name, ages (if children are traveling), one-way or roundtrip, depots, amount as seen on the website, exact requested times, class of travel (Saver, Value, Flexible and Premium) and train number (if possible). 
    • Any requests will be responded within 24-hours.

H/CUN/Grand Oasis Cancun & H/RMY/Grand Oasis Tulum

For 2016 the Grand Oasis Cancun and Oasis Cancun will be combined to form just the Grand Oasis Cancun. The same goes for the Grand Oasis Tulum and Oasis Tulum. The Grand Oasis Tulum and Oasis Tulum will also be combined to form just the Grand Oasis Tulum. All bookings for the Oasis Cancun and Oasis Tulum will absorbed by the Grand Oasis Cancun and Grans Oasis Tulum. Could you please notify all of the attached bookings about this change for these 2 resorts? If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.
Effective December 24, 2015 we will discontinue the selling of the Oasis Cancun, as well as the Oasis Tulum.

o   The room inventories previously assigned to these two resorts will transition and blend into the Grand brand (Grand Oasis Cancun & Grand Oasis Tulum respectively) .  As a result we will be able to offer a more upscale and consistent resort experience for all our guests.

o   Guests staying at these resorts will have access to all the amenities, facilities and services thus avoiding the previous tiered segmentation.

o   In the specific case of the Grand Oasis Cancun the only differentiation will be the new “The Pyramid at Grand Oasis” which as you know offers an even more upscale concept as well as exclusive access to a select number of restaurants and bars.


Please note that all room inventory previously offered as Oasis Cancun and Oasis Tulum will go through a very relevant refurbishing program in order to upgrade such inventory to the Grand brand levels.  This work will not interfere with the hotel’s regular operation.

H/NAS/Baha Mar Hotel & Casino - Closing

On Tuesday, June 30th it was announced in the trade that H/NAS/Baha Mar has filed Chapter 11.  Yesterday we received notification directly from Baha Mar that this is true and at this time they will no longer accept any new reservations nor will they honor any existing reservations they have on the books.   We were already working on relocations up to September 8th and thankfully, we had taken the hotel offline some time ago to be safe and therefore, only have 2 additional bookings that will need to be relocated after that date.

The protections that are currently being worked on (for travel through September 8th) will need to be finalized no later than July 7th as we will need to ensure that an invoice for the protection amounts is issued to Baha Mar as soon as possible considering the announcement this week.  Maria will be sending out a separate reminder/message on that topic noting the deadline for finalization.
The 2 bookings that we have for travel September 9th onwards are not being offered any protection by Baha Mar – we have, however, reviewed our current rates and alternatives in Calypso and will be presenting options that we feel suitable for relocation.  Maria will also be sending that message out today.

The press release from Baha Mar does note that they still intend to finish construction and open as soon as realistically possible however, until that time comes, we will not be sourcing this product for sale.
