The rooftop pool at Carousel Inn and Suites will be closed from April 13th-17th for the installation of a new pool light, deep cleaning, and deck maintenance. The Anabella pools will be available during those dates for Carousel guests and a free shuttle available.

Maria had a conversation with the Team in Miami regarding the fire. At this point in time the ownership is accessing the damages as this has turned into a sensitive issue.

We were advised by the end of this week we should have more details of the damages, opening date and all other options.

In the mean time we will be providing the sales Team in Miami with the recap of all reservations arriving now (04/15/15)-through 07/31/15.

If we get any word of what we can do with these bookings we will advise you as soon as possible.

Moon Palace Jamaica Grande had a fire occur on Friday March 27, 2015. Due to the fire, we have decided to close the resort out until October 31, 2015 to avoid taking any more new bookings.

We ran an internal recap and we are looking at about 66 reservations taken from May 15^th and onwards. We are still pending information from Moon Palace Jamaica Grande. If there are any immediate concerns please don’t hesitate to contact the Caribbean Product Team, They will advise when we have more information on the relocation options all affected bookings.

o   It’s a family resort however they did not have a lot for the children other than a kids club

o   Room categories of Junior Suite and higher are probably the best for clients to stay in and have a good “Hyatt” experience

o   If clients are seeking the true “Hyatt” experience of seeing what Hyatt has to offer- this property is not going to fully give them that experience as it still has the Ritz feel to the property.

The Atlantis has started offering a new meal plan option on their website only.  The meal plans are the same “Atlantis Dining Plan” and “Value Dining Plan” but the number of courses served is different. 

They now offer the following:

·         Atlantis Dining  Plan – Three Course

·         Atlantis Dining  Plan – Two Course

·         Value Dining Plan – Three Course

·         Value Dining Plan – Two Course

The three course gives the guest soup/salad, entrée and dessert, while the two course provides a choice of soup/salad or dessert with the entrée. 

We only offer the 3 course dining option when booked in Calypso. 

Please be careful when submitting price beats against the Atlantis Website that the correct number of courses is selected.  There is a difference in pricing

The decision has been made that the RIU Ocho Rios Adults Only Wing will revert to the Deluxe Wing as of Nov 1^st 2015.

All features will remain same however, children will now be allowed in this section.

We have 5 affected bookings, these clients have the option:

·         Either continue to stay in OCJ as booked, just make sure they are aware the section is no longer Adults Only

·         Relocate to Riu Palace Jamaica, MBJ (This is an adults only property)

No other compensation is being offered at this time. Please do NOT revise booking in Calypso.

H/RMY/Riu Playacar

The Riu Playacar will be completely closed for total renovations during the travel period of 27 Apr 15 – 10 Oct 15. For travel 27 Apr 15 – 24 May 15 Riu does not have any availability to accommodate our mutual clients at another Riu property. 
They have reached out to us requesting our assistance in relocating these 4 bookings to alternate accommodations. Please have the agent notify the Mexico Product Team on what hotel they chose to move to so that we can arrange the protection of any price difference. 

**UPDATE**
We were just advised by the supplier that due to the complete hotel closure of the Riu Playacar all of the bookings for travel 25 May 15 – 10 Oct 15 will be upgraded to the Riu Palace Riviera Maya.  As per the supplier’s emaill, they do not need to make any changes with their hotel in Calypso. The Riu Palace Riviera Maya will accept their current documents. The agents just need to update their transfers so that the transfer company is aware that they will be staying at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.

Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal Don Pablo Collection- Mexico - Riviera Maya
128 new rooms will be added. Also a new infinity pool and a snack bar/restaurant are added giving the clients more options to choose from during their stay at the hotel. The rooms adjacent to this area will be blocked and not be used throughout this period.  The works on the new pool and snack bar/restaurant will finish at the end of july.  The rooms will be ready by end of October '15. This area being located at the far side of the complex, and having the rooms located near to it out of use, we do not expect major disturbance for the clients during the works, however the fenced off area will be visible to clients going around the hotels grounds.  Construction is scheduled to commence on May 25, 2015 and the hours of construction will be from 9am-6pm from May to October.
